New Scouts - Tenderfoot Requirements

 

 

In order for scouts to earn badges and participate they need to graduate from Tenderfoots. They need to know the following:

And to Live by the Scout Law

And wise in the uses of his resources.

1st Scout Camp: Brown sea Island

 

The Left Hand Shake – comes from the tribes in Africa. The Chiefs would lay down their shields in a show of trust.  They would shake hands with the shield hand or left hand.

 

Scout Symbol

          Three parts

1.      Fleur de le – taken from the mariners compass

2.      two stars – representing the eyes of the wolf (cubs)

3.      Band – bond of brotherhood amongst scouts
