This site is about a hobby that is practiced the world over. That hobby is fishing. I thought it would be fun to have a site where you really get to show what you catch and brag about it. Bragging and fishing go hand in hand. Bragging is defined as 1. to speak boastfully, 2. to declare or maintain boastfully, 3. a thing to boast of. Bragging is different than lying. Funny thing about bragging and fishing though, it somehow seems that over a prolonged period of time the length and weight of the fish you caught actually increases! This site gives you the opportunity to brag about the fish you actually caught. You also get the chance to actually display the fish you are bragging about as well as describe how you caught it, where you caught it or whatever else you want to say about it. Send me your pictures and I will put them up for the world to see.

Let me tell you something about the local fishing. I am located right in the center of Canada. I am near two of the largest lakes in the world, near Lockport which is famous for the Channel Catfish caught here, as well as living in a Province that boasts (same as bragging, only sounds nicer) over 100,000 lakes. I am living in fishing paradise. Here in the Province of Manitoba we have a Master Anglers program set up by the Provincial Government. We are the only place in Canada to have such a program. We also fish year round with ice-fishing being popular during our winters. Sometimes as many as 4,000 people enter the larger fishing tournaments during the winter while there are many smaller tournaments year-round. If you want to list a fishing tournament just write to me and we will start a links page for tournaments.

In addition to having bragging rights I intend to offer a page of links to various fishing locals, resorts, camps or anything else related to sport fishing. This site covers sport fishing only, no hunting or commercial fishing. I hope to have links displayed by country as well as pictures displayed by species of fish. I also will be offering an awards program where the “My Bragging Rights” awards can be displayed on your site. We will also offer a page so that younger people involved in the sport can brag about their catches.

As I stated at the beginning, this site is meant to be fun, family oriented and above all provide the opportunity to brag about the fish you caught. It gets even better! In addition to your bragging you can actually submit a picture to be put up on the site to support your bragging. Let the world see about the one that didn’t get-away!
